If I had 10 Million Dollars
I have often wondered what I would do if I came into some money. If I earned, won or somehow found 10 million dollars, what would I do with it? Would 10 million dollars be enough to retire on? How long would it TRULY take me to spend that much money? Despite these questions, I would sure like to find out!
I think the first thing I'd do if I had 10 million dollars is to hire an accountant, lawyer and financial advisor. There are so many things that I simply wouldn't know how to do with that much money, from a financial standpoint, that I think it would be well worth the investment to hire these folks. Once I had my financial house in order, I think I'd significantly reduce the amount of time I work at my current job, or quit altogether and work elsewhere. While I'd surely love to take an early retirement, at my age, I think I would get bored rather quickly with not working at all. I'd also love to do some traveling. The possibilities are endless though as to where I'd go. I'd definitely like to visit some other countries, such as Italy, Germany and Great Britain. Of course, with that much money, I'd also like to splurge a little on myself. A car or two, a new house, and some exciting new gadgets would be some of the things I would purchase. Likewise, I have family that I would need to take care of if I had that much money. Naturally, with my big aspirations, it would be quite easy to spend that much money rather quickly, so I'd definitely need to invest some money properly in order to not run out of it!
As with anything though, it's quite difficult to predict what you would do in a theoretical situation like this, however, if given the chance, I think these would be a few of the things I would most likely try to accomplish, if I had 10 million dollars, that is.
